  • David Fournier and his crew at Stumpy Pro Tree Service came to my house today to 1) remove a 30 ft. towering multi-trunked River Birch Tree, 2) remove 5 tall Slash Pines, and 3) trim 9 tall Bradford Pears. David and his helpers tackled the slash pines, and Claude, the high climber, attached the River Birch. The crew kept all the limbs and debris picked up as they went along, keeping the worksite clean. Claude suspended himself from ropes high up in the Birch - and he swung from place to place, cutting as he went. He used multiple rope techniques to cut limbs and lower them to the ground gently. Watching Claude at work was like poetry in motion. He's something like a Circus act, and no doubt one of the best tree climbers and trimmers in the business. I wish I'd had a video camera instead of just taking photographs. When finished they ground the stumps and cleaned the area in a very satisfactory manner. I got 5 estimates before choosing someone for this job. I was very selective because the River Birch hung over my house and my neighbor's house - and underneath it was a flagstone patio with a water fountain. I had no worries due to the talented and careful job these professionals did. They had very good equipment - from the grinder to the chipper and the truck trailer they used to haul the large logs away that could not be chipped. Of all the people I talked to, their bid was most reasonable, and they brought the "right" size crew for the job - and everyone worked the entire time. They responded quickly when I called for an estimate, and when scheduling the work itself, they returned all calls in a prompt manner.

  • by Yahoo User - 11/06/09 Extremely pleased with this company. They came out and did an estimate for a large ceder tree removal on the same day I called. The estimate was very competitive with others they followed up with a phone call to set up an appointment and then they came on that day. No damage to fences yard or house and every limb was removed! Very nice clean up job plus they cut the stump almost to the ground. (I elected not to have the stump ground out). What I liked was that they did exactly what they said they would do and in a very timely manner. Super nice people who know what they are doing and do it well!
